Kevin is joined in this episode by TPS owner and EliteFTS athlete C.J. Murphy to discuss how to be successful at a powerlifting meet, including peaking for, warming up and attempt selection at the meet.
Murph is the founder and head coach at TPS. He is also a multiple award winning trainer, including the “Spirit of Strength” award from USA Master Trainers. Murph is an ISSA Master of Fitness Science, Certified Strength Coach, and Certified Personal Trainer, through the I.S.S.A. He is also a Certified Kettlebell Teacher through the IKFF, a USA Boxing Level 2 coach, and a USAW Certified Club Coach. As well as all the previous certifications, he is also a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the ISSN. Murph is a retired Strongman competitor and former National Powerlifting Champion.
