This week, Kevin brings a special guest on the show all the way from Australia! Dr. Tim Gabbett has over 20 years experience working as an applied sport scientist with athletes and coaches from a wide range of sports. Kevin & Dr. Gabbett chat about the application of ACWR to powerlifting programming and coaching. They also chat about velocity-based training and the science behind coaching itself.

Dr. Gabbett holds a Ph.D. in Human Physiology and has completed a second Ph.D. in the Applied Science of Professional Football, with special reference to physical demands, injury prevention, and skill acquisition. He has worked with elite international athletes over several Australian Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games cycles. He continues to work as a sport science and coaching consultant for several high performance teams around the world.
