Episode 106: Training Cycles over Time ft. Joe Cappellino

Today, Kevin takes the mic with longtime USAPL equipped powerlifter Joe Cappellino a.k.a. Big Joe Capp. Joe has been powerlifting since 2007 when he founded the Northeastern University powerlifting team (NUPL) and began competing in single-ply equipment. Since then, he’s won and coached numerous lifters to national titles and world stages, including winning: the World Games silver medal in 2017, an IPF Open Worlds silver medal in 2016, and an IPF Open Worlds bronze medal in 2015.

Joe and Kevin discuss some interesting training topics on this episode, including the evolution of Joe’s programming over the last decade plus, how powerlifting meets have changed over time, and what’s happening in his training now.
